Attorney General (D), State of Oregon
Ellen Rosenblum is Oregon attorney general, first elected in 2012 and reelected in 2016. Her priorities include consumer protection and civil rights, such as prosecuting elder abuse, crimes against children, and consumer internet privacy cases. A former federal prosecutor and state judge, Rosenblum served on the Oregon Court of Appeals, on the Multnomah County district and circuit courts, and as an assistant US attorney. She served on the National Association of Attorneys General Executive Committee, is past chair of the Conference of Western Attorneys General, was secretary of the American Bar Association, and co-founded the Attorneys General and Department of Justice Issues Committee, part of ABA’s Section of State and Local Government Law.
